Dear Colleagues, It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we introduce the 13th Seoul International Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SICEM 2025) in conjunction with the 44th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Korean Endocrine Society, which will be held on a beautiful spring day this May at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul. Our society is currently facing the significant challenge of navigating through “an era of transformation” and is actively preparing for various changes to meet these demands. In this context, the theme of this year’s congress, “Facing the Challenges,” has been chosen to create a special platform for sharing the latest knowledge and research in the diverse and ever-evolving field of endocrinology. This congress will also serve as a valuable platform for the exchange of academic achievements and clinical experiences. It is with great joy and anticipation that I have the honor of introducing this meaningful occasion to you today. Over the past decade, the Korean Endocrine Society has played a leading role in advancing endocrinology not only in Korea but across Asia through SICEM. The dedicated research and practice of many participants, both domestic and international, have significantly contributed to academic progress and clinical applications, ultimately improving the quality of life for patients. However, we cannot rest on these accomplishments. We must proactively address the ever-changing medical landscape and academic challenges. This year’s congress will serve as an essential opportunity to explore the future of endocrinology in the face of new challenges. The program will feature a diverse array of lectures and symposiums covering topics ranging from fundamental research to the latest clinical guidelines, along with wide range of discussions. Additionally, it will provide a valuable chance to engage with globally renowned speakers and showcase your research on an international stage. Furthermore, this congress is expected to serve as a platform not only for academic advancement but also for exploring new possibilities for global collaboration. Building on past achievements, we aim to take a step forward by expanding the horizons of endocrinology through creative and innovative approaches, paving new paths for the next generation We sincerely ask for your continued interest and active participation to ensure the success of this congress. It is our hope that this academic gathering will inspire you profoundly and serve as a starting point for new challenges ahead. I am confident that the passion and dedication of everyone here will shape a brighter future for endocrinology.
