Thanks for sharing! Been struggling to find good journal options for my ML paper.
Honestly can’t believe Measurement journal still gets submissions with that IF… our whole lab stopped considering it
TPDS and TKDE are the only ones here worth aiming for long-term career value imo
These journals are decent, but let’s be real—most people just go where their advisor has connections 😅
Man I wish they included acceptance rates… those impact factors don’t tell the full story 🤔
Good list for early-career researchers! The formatting tips saved me weeks of revision time 👍
The impact factor ranking is helpful, but journal reputation matters too… some of these known for very slow reviews
You’re absolutely right about reputation – my lab avoids some of these despite the solid impact factors due to past bad experiences
Just published in IEEE TASE last month! Acceptance took about 3 months, which was faster than expected 😊
3 months for TASE? That’s insane speed compared to what I’m used to from IEEE journals 🤯
Bro, just publish wherever your advisor tells you to. Survival 101 😅
3.7 IF for Antennas Letters? That’s… not bad, not great. Decent backup option I guess.
As someone who reviewed for Antennas Letters multiple times, that IF seems inflated by self-citations
TPDS is a solid choice for distributed systems papers, but keep in mind their formatting requirements are strict.
KBDE is actually pretty selective despite what this suggests… had 2 rejections before finally getting in
Would love to see similar recommendations for non-IEEE journals in these fields!
Anyone know typical review times for the Instrumentation journal?
Personally prefer the TAP series – more focused and respected in our antenna research community.
Lol, my professor always calls these “pay to win” journals 🤣
Thanks for compiling this list! Exactly what I needed as a PhD student looking to publish my first paper. 😊
Congrats on starting your PhD journey! Pro tip: network at conferences to learn the real journal reputations
Hmm… is TASE really that easy to get accepted? I’ve heard mixed reviews from colleagues.
Wow, had no idea IEEE TKDE had such a high impact factor! Might consider submitting there now 👍
