Who may use this registration category:

Only non-physician employees of medical facilities, government agencies and educational institutions. Includes healthcare administrators, technicians, assistants, nurses, office support staff, interns, orthoptists, therapists, ocularists, ophthalmic photographers, academic researchers (PhD/PharmD), and veterinarians.
Medical students enrolled in medical schools outside of the U.S.
Does not include optometrists.
Does not include non-physician employees of exhibiting companies who should be registered by their company as an Exhibitor Representative.
Non-physician employees of companies or commercial enterprises that are not exhibiting must register as Commercial Representatives (see category below).

Registrations made under this category will automatically undergo a review. Reviews will be completed within three business days. Approved registrations will receive a separate confirmation letter. If it is determined that the registration was completed in an incorrect category, the registration will be reclassified and you will receive instructions on how to proceed.

Commercial Representative

Who may use this registration category:

Employees of an exhibiting company are registered under that company’s participation as Exhibitor Representatives.
Commercial representatives are non-physician employees of a business or commercial enterprise, with a legitimate business reason to attend AAO 2025, who do not have a product or service to exhibit. Includes start-up and research companies, researchers, financial analysts, managers, executives, consultants and other staff.
Commercial companies are defined as those involved in research, development, production, manufacturing and/or sales of ophthalmic related products or services. This includes but is not limited to start-up and research companies.
Commercial representatives who register for AAO 2025 in any other category will have their registration cancelled and payments refunded.
Commercial representatives and exhibitors may register for any Subspecialty Day meeting using the Commercial Representative registration category.
